This week has been busy and crazy so far. I have lots to share!
Joshua has had a rough week. Last Tues he and Emma both were in to the doctors with ear infections and wheezing. This week, Joshua was still crying, pulling on his ear and congested. So, Tuesday I took him back to the doctor. His ear is cleared up and no more wheezing. So, they tested him for RSV. First of all, if your child has ever had that test, it is no fun! If they haven't, pray they don't. You have to hold your child down while they squirt saline up their nose and then suck it back out really fast. Joshua had to have this done three times before they got enough snot out to test. Poor guy! But, all that for no RSV- thankfully!! Then later that same day, he fell down the stairs in our house for the first time. I think it was more scary for Mommy and Daddy than him. He cried for a few minutes then looked at us all like "why is everyone watching me." Emma had left the door to the stairs open when she went down and of course, he was just following her I'm sure. Jeremy was downstairs and I was in the kitchen fixing dinner. On top of all this, he is trying to cut 4 teeth. Two have broken through the gums giving him a grand total of 4 pearly whites. Two more are still on their way currently that I can tell.
Madison accomplished a huge feat in gymnastics today. She did a cartwheel!!!! She has struggled with getting her feet up since the beginning a few months ago and has always longed to do one. She got a ribbon today for that accomplishment! Jeremy and I were beaming! Take a look at the great job!
And Emma, our sweet Emma, is growing up. This week my mom, sister and brother are here for a few days. (We missed my dad due to him having to work.) So, since my Grandma passed away on Christmas, we haven't done our family Christmas with them yet. So, last night we opened gifts. Everyone got lots of fun things. Emma received a Dora toddler bed from Sheryl for her birthday and Christmas combined. We hadn't planned on moving her out of her crib until she started climbing out, but she was ready to sleep in the Dora bed. What two year old doesn't like Dora?!?! So, Jeremy put the bed up and last night she slept in it. I thought we would be spanking all night to keep her in it, but only two spankings later and she stayed in it. She did great with it today with no spankings at either nap time or bedtime! Take a look at her excitement once it was up:
Here she is asleep with her Bible. Precious!
To top off the week, yesterday we received a little over an inch of snow. The girls and Michael had lots of fun playing in it today.
