A Busy Weekend

There was nothing slow about this past weekend, but there was also nothing but fun to be had. We spent the weekend in Searcy with friends and family at Harding's homecoming. It was so good to see many friends and family! Sheryl (my sister) is staying with us right now and she went with us too. She had a great time going to classes on Friday and just having the HU experience. Harding won their football game Saturday in overtime against Henderson State!!!

We returned late Saturday night from Searcy since Jeremy had to be at church on Sunday morn, but we went to early service instead of late like normal. We did this b/c Madison had a gymnastics competition at 12:30. She had to be there at 11:45 for warmup and of course we wanted a good seat. So, a late night getting home and an extra early morning = no benefit of the extra hour of sleep. Oh well!

Madison did GREAT in her competetition - The Pumpkin Cup Tumbling Meet. She nailed her bridge up which she has struggled with!

She placed 4th in her division of 5 yr olds with a score of 6.9 out of 8.0!!! (Really good we think for being in gymnastics not even three months.)

After church Sunday night we had the teens over for a youth activity. I was ready for bed when they left!

It was such a good weekend. God has really blessed me great friends and family. The best days are spent with family and friends. Even though it is always sad to say good bye, it is always nice knowing that one day we will spend eternity together and never have to leave one another. I love you all!

Rach - SO glad you all had a wonderful time at homecoming! Looking at those pics made me homesick! I can't believe how much your sister has grown up - she's beautiful! I know you have been looking forward to this weekend to see Amy, Donna and the others.

Congrats to Madison on doing so well in gymnastics! I think you have a little Mary Lou Retton on your hands!

Sorry we missed each other at Homecoming! We, too, had to be back in time for church on Sunday and did not get the extra hour of sleep b/c we were rehearsing early for a special song we were doing that morning! I feel you, girl!
